Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bangladesh H.E. Alexander V. Mantytskiy paid a courtesy call on the Foreign Minister H.E. Dr. Hasan Mahmud today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ambassador congratulated the Foreign Minister on his appointment and apprised him of several areas of bilateral cooperation.
Both expressed satisfaction at the current level of cooperation. They discussed the importance of increasing trade volume and diversification of products.
The Foreign Minister suggested arranging the visit of a trade delegation to Russia and more Russian investment in Bangladesh. The Ambassador expressed readiness to continue supplying wheat and fertilizers and increase the volume, if necessary.
They also underscored the importance of concluding ongoing negotiations in various fields of cooperation to broaden and deepen the bilateral relationship.
