The Consulate General of Portugal has been inaugurated in New York.

The Consulate General of Portugal in New York has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Luis Montenegro and Minister of state  and Foreign Affairs Paulo Rangel.

It was a beautiful and well-attended inauguration ceremony for the new facilities of the Consulate General of Portugal in New York by Prime Minister Luís Montenegro and Minister of Foreign Affairs Paulo Rangel, held yesterday with Consul General Luisa Pais Lowe, the Directors of the AICEP Offices and of Turismo de Portugal in the United States, Carlos Moura and Celina Tavares, and their respective teams, including that of the Honorary Consulate of Portugal in Waterbury/Naugatuck, as well as members of the Advisory Council of the Consulate General, leaders and community representatives from the States of New York York and Connecticut.

Close collaboration between all these groups and teams is essential for a strong strategic presence of Portugal in New York, whether in consular services, in promoting our country as a destination of excellence for business, investment and tourism, or in promoting the language and Portuguese culture.
