Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) H. E. Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, received at his office, on 04 February 2020, Mr. Ryan M. Gliha, Consul General of the United States of America who presented a letter from the government of the United States of America (USA) conveying its decision to appoint him as the official Representative of the United States of America to the OIC.
On this occasion, Mr. Gliha reiterated the commitment of United States to work closely with the OIC General Secretariat on shared issues for mutual benefit of both sides.
Accepting the letter, the Secretary General welcomed the decision of the U.S. government to appoint an official Representative to the OIC and reiterated the desire of the OIC to strengthen bilateral relations and constructive dialogue with the United States on issues of mutual interest. Dr. Al-Othaimeen assured the US Representative of OIC’s support and cooperation during his assignment with the OIC.
