The Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul actively participated in the “Itaewon Global Village Festival 2019” held in Itaewon, Yongsan in association with the South Korean government from 12 – 13 October 2019. Itaewon is considered as the ‘tourist area’ and a total of 37 countries including Bangladesh participated in this international festival this year. The Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul participated in the “World Handicraft Fair” and “World Cultural Organization” of the international festival. The festival was open to the public daily from 11am to 7.30pm.

Dressed in traditional and colorful Bangladeshi attire with drums, festoons and national flag, the children along with all the members of the Embassy of Bangladesh participated in the “Global Parade” at 3pm, which attracted the attention of Koreans as well as the foreign nationals’ present there.

The colorful and stunning participation of Bangladesh at the “Itaewon Global Village Festival 2019” won the hearts and minds of the visitors. It seems that visitors are getting increasingly attracted towards different Bangladeshi products which will further strengthen the cultural and commercial ties between Bangladesh and the Republic of Korea in the coming days.
