Mr. HisakazuMizutani, President of the Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation has been appointed as the Honorary Consul of Bangladesh in Nagoya. In a ceremony held at the Nagoya Castle Hotel held yesterday, Ambassador of Bangladesh, H.E. Ms. Rabab Fatima officially handed over his appointment letter. Distinguished guests from various sectors including the Governor of Aichi Prefecture, Mr. Hideaki Omura, the Nagoya City Mayor, Mr. Takashi Kawamura, President of Nagoya University, Mr. Seiichi Matsuo were present at the ceremony.
In her congratulatory speech, Ambassador Ms. Fatima expressed her deep satisfaction on the level of cooperation and friendship that Bangladesh and Japan share and hoped that under the leadership of Mr. Mizutani, new horizons of cooperation will be opened between the two countries. She thanked the outgoing Honorary Consul, Mr. Hideo Egawa for his service and dedication to strengthen ties between Bangladesh and Japan. After her speech, a video on transformative development of Bangladesh was shown to the audience.
The Governor of Aichi Prefecture and the Mayor of Nagoya City in their respective congratulatory remarks assured their full support to help elevate the bilateral relations between the two countries to higher trajectory.
Mr. Mizutani, in his speech, thanked the government of Bangladesh for appointing him as the Honorary Consul and vowed to extend his full support to strengthen the mutually beneficial relations between Bangladesh and Japan.
