Web Summit -2023. Report by Humayun Kabir from Lisbon, Portugal. It was another historic year for Web Summit, our flagship event, which saw more than 2,600 startups showcasing their business ideas to 70,000-plus attendees, tech experts, investors, and world-class speakers.
Speakers including Signal president Meredith Whittaker, Nym Technologies security consultant Chelsea Manning, and Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales graced our stages to discuss AI, misinformation, and digital security.
Taking place from November 11-14, Web Summit 2024 will feature sessions that gather tech experts, cultural icons and global policymakers, and will host interactive Q&As, masterclasses, roundtables and speaker experiences.
Away from the stage, you’ll be able to make the most of lounges and dedicated meeting spaces that bring together attendees from every sector to generate business leads. What’s more, through gatherings like our Night Summit events, you’ll also be able to explore the stunning city of Lisbon, with it’s world-class dining, cultural treasures and breathtaking scenery.
You can also follow Web Summit on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn to make sure you don’t miss a single announcement for Web Summit 2024.
Web Summit Qatar in February 2024
In February 2024, we’ll host our first-ever Web Summit in the Middle East, as the tech event heads to Qatar.
Web Summit Qatar helps to connect a new generation of founders in the Middle East to investors, journalists, customers, partners and more around the world, and represents a new opportunity to develop an already fast-growing tech scene in the region.
Web Summit Qatar will join the roster of international events organised by Web Summit, taking to the world stage alongside Web Summit in Lisbon, Web Summit Rio in Rio de Janeiro, and Collision in Toronto.
Web Summit Rio in April 2024
In April 2024, we’ll return to Riocentro for the largest tech event in Brazil, gathering more than 30,000 people alongside the companies redefining the tech industry.
Collision
Collision returned to Toronto in 2023, with more than 35,000 people in attendance. What Digital Trends calls “the stunning future of tech conferences” will be back in Toronto’s Enercare Centre from June 17-20, 2024.
Collision connects exciting tech companies, dynamic speakers and industry experts from across the world in onstage discussions, networking sessions and deal-making meetings, generating all the buzz of a “carnival for entrepreneurs”. The whole event “buzzes with startup electricity”, according to HuffPost.
