The government has decided to appoint Ms. Rezina Ahmed as the next Ambassador of Bangladesh to Portugal. She will be replacing Ambassador Mr. Tarik Ahsan in this capacity.
Ms. Rezina Ahmed, a career diplomat of the 13th batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) cadre, joined Foreign Service in 1994. Currently, she is serving as the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Mauritius. In her illustrious diplomatic career, she has served in such Bangladesh Missions as Canberra, Moscow, and Yangon in different capacities. She was also the Consul General of Bangladesh in Milan. At headquarters as well, she has held many important positions including that of the Deputy Chief of Protocol.
Ms. Rezina Ahmed obtained her BSS and MSS degree in International Relations from the University of Dhaka. She also completed several professional training courses both at home and abroad, and represented Bangladesh in numerous bilateral and multilateral meetings.
In her personal life, Ms. Rezina Ahmed is married and blessed with two children.
