Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud said that currently, Bangladesh has 84 diplomatic missions in 60 countries of the world. Among them are 47 Embassies, 14 High Commissions, 12 Consulates, three Permanent Missions, four Sub-High Commissions and four Assistant High Commissioners. Apart from the work of establishing nine diplomatic missions of Bangladesh in nine countries is underway.
The foreign minister further said that new Bangladesh missions will be established in New Zealand’s capital Wellington, Ireland’s capital Dublin, Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires, Norway’s capital Oslo, and Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh.
Apart from this, sub-missions will be established in Guangzhou, China, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Frankfurt, Germany and Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
