“We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the generous support from Japan. Japan has been always supporting Bangladesh in the fight against COVID-19. We hope such assistance will continue and we will effectively utilize the vaccines for the people of Bangladesh.”, said Mr. Khan.
.I am pleased that Japan has completed the delivery of more than 3 million AstrZeneca vaccines today, which Japan had committed to Bangladesh. Those vaccines already handed over to the Bangladesh government have been inoculated to people, some of whom had been long waiting for the second shot of the AstraZeneca vaccines, and contributing to increasing the vaccination rate in the country. I hope those vaccines will contribute to the Bangladesh government’s efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”, said Mr. Yamaya.
