Today on October 27th the Dhaka Water Knowledge Days were kicked off. Organized by Water Management Knowledge and Innovation Program and the Joint Cooperation Programme, the aim of these days is to stimulate further Dutch-Bangla water cooperation through the sharing of knowledge. The Netherlands Ambassador Harry Verweij opened the event with a speech stressing the increased KNOWLEDGE cooperation between the Netherlands and Bangladesh particurarly in the water sector.
The event will continue until October 31st with sessions regarding Flood Risk Management, Ground and surface water management, Morphology, Water quality and Salinity and Disaster Risk Reduction. The Netherlands Embassy is proud to support both organizers to help create this platform of knowledge sharing and cooperation between the Netherlands and Bangladesh.
