‘Study in India’ is a unique initiative of the Government of India, under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) to facilitate the student fraternity from all across the globe to come and experience the best of academic learning from the top institutions in India.“Study in India” was successfully launched by Govt. of India on 18″ of April, 2018. The bedrock of this program is ‘the state of the art website – www.studyinindia.gov.in’, duly supported by a robust helpline[Toll free no. +91-9899-450-350], where students can register themselves and give their preferences. Then according to their choices & eligibility criteria, they will be allotted courses and institutes options.
EdCIL (India) Limited, a project management and consultancy organization of the Government of India under the Ministry of Human Resource Development organized the Study in India, Bangladesh Education Fair in Chittagong and Dhaka to promote Indian Higher Education in Bangladesh. The event was organized with the support of the High Commission of India, Dhaka. The Study in India Bangladesh Education Fair in Chittagong was held 26th-27th February 2019 at the Radisson Blu Bay view, and in Dhaka from 1st -2ndMarch, 2019 at Le Méridien, Dhaka. The Chittagong Education Fair was inaugurated by Assistant High Commissioner Shri. Anindya Banerjee and the Dhaka Education Fair was inaugurated by First Secretary [Education], High Commission of India, Dhaka Shri Jishnu Prasanna Mukerjee.
The main focus of the fair was to inform students about the wide variety of courses offered, scholarships provided and fee waivers. Study in India is offering around 19000+ seatsto the foreign students, out of which 9500+ Fee Waived seats, with 1500+ courses ranging from the field of AI to political sciences.Government is also offering scholarship of USD 3,500 per year to top meritorious students.

Study in India received a huge response from Bangladeshi students. Around 500+ registrations have been made till now. The program aims to make India the preferred destination for education leveraging value for money and globally competitive standard of education. The program involves partnership with more than 160+ premier education institutes in India as per the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
