Vietnamese AmbassadorMr.Tran Van Khoa , in his speech said Vietnam and Bangladesh share a lot of similarities in terms of historical background. While the Bangalee pay profound tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Vietnamese are also very proud of our Father of the Nation Ho Chi Minh. Both are visionary leaders and the prime movers of independence. Both Great Leaders dedicated their whole lives and works to the struggle for national independence and people’s freedom. For their outstanding contributions, Ho Chi Minh and Bangabandhu are unique symbols to the people of Vietnam and Bangladesh. To know Ho Chi Minh and Bangabandhu, is to know Vietnam and Bangladesh, and vice versa. Therefore, I am confident that the name and fame of both Fathers of the Nation will remain ever shining in the mind and heart of millions of Vietnamese and Bangalee so long as the country and its people will stay alive. Even after physically leaving our world, the moral thoughts of Ho Chi Minh and Bangabandhu have continued to remain the guiding light for the people of Vietnam and Bangladesh for the target of building a happy, prosperous and developed country.
Ambassador added that , this is the first time that the Biography Dance Theatre on Vietnam’s Father of the Nation, Ho Chi Minh, conceptualised and directed by a Bangladeshi dance artist and director, has been performed in Bangladesh. The activity is in line with the Cultural Exchange Program signed between the Government of our two countries. Therefore, I highly appreciate the efforts of Turongomi Repertory Dance Theatre in collaboration with our Embassy in organising this meaningful program. I hope that the program not only helps all of you know more about the life, career and moral thoughts of our Great Leader Ho Chi Minh, who is recognised as a national liberation hero and a world cultural celebrity by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Moreover, I strongly believe that the program also helps to further strengthen people-to-people contacts, enhance mutual understandings and promote excellent traditional friendship between Vietnam and Bangladesh.
