Ambassador of Turkiye to Bangladesh Ramis Sen handed over a letter from the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkiye Dr. Nuh Yılmaz addressed to Ambassador Md. Jashim Uddin, congratulating him on his appointment as Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh, during a courtesy call on held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dhaka, today.
Recalling the recent telephone conversation between the President of Turkiye and Chief Adviser of Bangladesh, Ambassador Ramis Sen reinforced Turkish government’s commitment to support Bangladesh’s Interim Government in its reform initiatives. Foreign Secretary welcomed this initiative and assured Turkish Ambassador of Bangladesh government’s necessary support for a fruitful cooperation.
The two sides also discussed about Turkish government’s probable assistance for the medical treatment of the students and participants who were injured during the Anti-Discrimination Movement.
The Foreign Secretary and the Turkish Ambassador expressed satisfaction over the current progress of bilateral engagements between the two friendly countries and emphasized on enhancing volume of bilateral trade. Turkish Ambassador apprised Foreign Secretary of the activities of a Turkish delegation who delivered humanitarian assistance for the flood affected people in Bangladesh. Foreign Secretary expressed appreciation for Turkiye’s humanitarian gesture for the flood victims of Bangladesh.
