The inauguration ceremony of CUB Alumni Association was held on 25th May 2019 (Saturday) at the Auditorium of the University. Ms. Corinne Petrisor, Senior Trade Commissioner, The High Commission of Canada in Bangladesh was present as the Guest of Honor.
In the presence of Guest of honor and other distinguished guests, Dr. Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat, Hon’ble Founder and Chairman, Board of Trustees, Canadian University of Bangladesh declared “CUB Alumni Association” open and wished its glorious future.
In his speech, Dr. Nafeez emphasized the significant role of CUB Alumni to play in the development of University and placement of CUB graduates in future.
Pro-Vice Chancellor of Canadian University of Bangladesh Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam welcomed the dignified guests and the alumni to the ceremony. Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam and Mr. Sheikh Mozaffar Hossain, Treasurer of Canadian University of Bangladesh gave their valuable speech at the program.
Among other dignitaries, Mr. Shahnul Hasan Khan, Executive Chairman, Mr. Bahauddin Muhammad Isa, Acting Registrar, Professor William H Derrenger, Dean, School of Business, Dr. Shahrukh Adnan Khan, Dean, School of Science and Engineering, Mr. S. M. Arifuzzaman, Head, School of Business, Dr. Abdullah-Al-Monzur Hussain, Head, School of Law, Capt Kazi Ali Imam, Head, Department of Shipping & Maritime Science (SMS), Mr. Walid Bin Quader, Head, Department of Natural Science, Dr. M Mamoon Al Bashir, Academic Director, MBA & EMBA Programs, Mr. Md.
