After a long month of fasting, the biggest religious festival of the Muslim Ummah, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, is celebrated today in Portugal, like other countries of the world, with due dignity, religious solemnity, and joy.
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, two Eid congregations were organized at the Central Mosque in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.
Also, another Eid-ul-Fitr congregation was held under the open sky at 8:00 am in Lisbon’s Martim Muniz Park at the initiative of the expatriate Bangladeshi community.
Where more than a thousand devout Muslims from different countries of the world, including Portuguese Muslims, perform the holy Eid prayers.
The Eid prayers were held under the direction of the Senior Pesh Imam of the Central Mosque of Lisbon.
After the prayer, a special prayer is offered for the welfare, happiness, peace, and prosperity of the entire Muslim Ummah and the country and nation.
